Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club runs from 7:45am until the start of school and offers a healthy start to the day with a nutritious breakfast and playtime with friends.
The Breakfast Club will provide children with a choice of healthy food and is supervised by school staff. It will encourage good eating habits as well as providing a settling environment which will help children in the daily transition from home to school and ensure that they are ready to learn once the school day starts.
You must book in advance for Breakfast Club via School Gateway
You may book up to one week in advance.
£4 per session.
School's Out
We have a Schools Out Club on site at Alderbrook, organised by Balham Community Centre. This provides daily after-school care for children until 6.30pm. There are organised play activities and the children are provided with a light tea.
To enquire about places and costs, please contact Schools Out Club direct on 020 8675 4800.
Bagel Breakfast
We have a partnership with 'Magic Breakfast' a charity that provides schools with ‘magic’ bagels so that all children can start the day with a nutritious breakfast. This is subsidised by our wonderful PTA. There has been a lot of research into the impact that skipping breakfast (or not having a nutritious breakfast) has on learning. Research shows that children who have had a nutritious breakfast make significantly more progress than those who don’t. As a part of our soft start, we have a ‘grab and go bagel box’ at the front gate, including the Early Years hall, where the children will have access to a toasted bagel on their way in.
