Hello! We are here to support the school and help make our children's time at Alderbrook special.

We organise events and activities that raise money to enhance their experience at school. Over the years money raised by the PTA has paid for trips, clubs, extra books and much more.

But it is not all about fundraising. We want you to enjoy being part of the school community too.

Who we are

If you have a child at Alderbrook then you are already part of the club! Every year we elect a committee who oversee the PTA's work and liaise with the school leadership. Our 2024/2025 committee members are:

How we spend our money

We work hand-in-hand with Mrs. Foulkes and the school leadership to make sure the money we raise goes towards things that really boost the kids' learning and make school a blast!

This year we will be funding:

  • A trip to Polka Theatre to see The Nutcracker
  • Coach transport for the Y3 trip to Butser Ancient Farm
  • Santa visit and a gift for every child
  • YouBeYou subscription (materials celebrating diversity and inclusion)
  • The Chess Club
  • Lots of KS2 literacy support materials
  • Magazine subscriptions

We are a registered charity in England & Wales (No. 1159666).

How you can get involved

There are lots of ways you can get involved, both big and small. 

Come along to our events
The easiest way to support the school is to come along to one of our events. We have something on every month. See our upcoming events

Volunteer
We are always looking for volunteers to help out. You can do as much or as little as you want, but even an hour of your time can make a real difference.

Use your skills
We are lucky to have an extremely talented bunch of parents and carers at the school. Use your skills and expertise to help make the PTA even better. Our amazing logo was designed by one of our parents. What can you do?

Donate
Whether it is prizes for the raffle, arts and craft supplies, outgrown uniforms, or cold, hard cash, donations help keep us going. Start hoarding those empty jam jars!

Tell us your ideas
Most importantly, we want your ideas. Ideas for events we can host, games we can play, things we can fund, and ways we can make the school community inclusive and fun for all.
